Raichur: An incident has taken place in Raichur where two persons, including the head teacher, have been suspended for dereliction of duty.
Taluk Assistant Director of Akshar Dasoha Yojana and the head teacher of the school have been suspended in connection with the incident in which 49 school students became ill after eating hot food after a lizard fell in the government primary school of Appanadoddy village of the taluk.
On July 1, 49 students fell ill after eating hot lunch in the school and the students were immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment. The parents of the students were very worried due to this incident.
Taking the incident seriously, the district administration suspended Akshara Dasoha Scheme Taluk Assistant Director Manjula and School Headmaster Kanakappa for their negligence.
The state minister and MLA had instructed to investigate the incident. Accordingly, the officials of the education department conducted an investigation and gave a report based on which the district administration took action against the two.
