Chikkamagaluru: Due to heavy rains in Chikkamagaluru taluk, holidays have been given to schools. Earlier also some schools in Karnataka were given holiday due to rain.
Not only in Karnataka. Kerala and Goa states have also given leave to students due to rain.
A holiday has been announced for schools in selected parts of Chikkamagaluru taluk tomorrow. Official information about this has also come out.
Since it is difficult for children to go to school in rain, the holiday has been given keeping in mind the safety of children.
It is also important because the buildings are old and in need of repair. The leave was given as a precautionary measure to avoid any mishap.
Jagar, Vastare, Khandya, Aldur, Avati Hobli schools will be given holiday, official said.
The Chikkamagaluru BEO which issued the holiday order has issued this notice to all the schools. It is not known how long the rain will continue.
